Two more floors pre-let at Portland Square development | 3 December 2012
Two more floors have been let by British Land at their new 10 Portman Square development, property-magazine.eu reports.
Aramco Overseas Company UK Ltd, the British arm of a Saudi Arabian oil firm, is to lease the fifth and part of the fourth floors, totalling 24,392 square feet of office space at £92 per sq ft. The lease has been drawn up for a continuous 15 years, providing 24 months free.
10 Portman Square, situated in the West End of London, is an eight-storey building that comprises 113,000 sq ft of office space. It is due for completion in April 2013. The striking building, designed by architects, Jestico+Whiles, features a curved roof, open terraces and exterior glass fins which have been designed especially to reflect ‘soft natural coloured lights’.
The announcement follows confirmation last week that Aspect Capital Limited, an investment management firm, is to assume the top two floors. As such the development is now 43 per cent pre-let.
Commenting on the development on behalf of British Land, director of London Leasing, James Danby, told cnplus.co.uk: “We are delighted that Aramco Overseas Company and Aspect Capital have chosen 10 Portman Square as their new London home, and we look forward to welcoming them to the building next Spring.”
