New social network aimed at commercial property | 4 March 2013
A new social network for property has been launched aimed at providing “LinkedIn” style profiles for commercial buildings in the UK, reports constructionenquirer.com.
Honest Buildings will contain details of more than 9,500 commercial buildings in the UK in a bid to provide information to potential purchases, developers and occupiers.
Users will be able to access a database to download information on buildings and connect with other professionals involved with a selected property.
In addition, it could be a useful avenue for contractors looking for work as property firms can search for specialists to work on refurbishment schemes.
According to independent.co.uk, Honest Buildings has strong links with the Open Data Institute in London, which was founded by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, and the network is looking to put up a ‘lot of other information on the site’.
Nick Katz, head of market development Europe for Honest Buildings, commented on the launch of the network: “Whether you’re in London or Liverpool, are a billion-pound property owner or a small retail tenant, we’re thrilled to offer a new way to make real estate decisions faster and more efficiently than ever before.
“The HB network now has an online profile for nearly every UK property, making it easy to compare companies, projects and professionals and find the best solution for your real estate needs,” he added.
