Access Qube SLM in the Cloud
Cloud Computing Explained
Qube SLM is a cloud-based solution but what does this actually mean? Read on to find out our interpretation of cloud computing and the benefits it offers users of our system.
What is cloud computing?
Cloud computing essentially means information is stored and processed outside of your organisation and is delivered where, when and how you need it. Typically it consists of a collection of related web-based services. As far as we’re concerned, we feel this is the direction computing generally has been heading for a while now. Businesses no longer need to invest in expensive hardware systems, manage software upgrades and retain expensive in-house IT teams. With cloud computing, they can access all the applications they need from any device that can access the Internet.
What storage capacity do devices use to access cloud-based software systems?
None. They are purely a means to "drawdown" information. They access online software through a browser and their architecture is 100 per cent web based. As such, there are no problems in the event of business disasters (e.g. fire or theft) and information is always available wherever you are at any time of day or night.
What does this mean for Qube SLM?
Qube SLM is a cloud-based solution. This means that it is only accessible by users via an internet browser, meaning you can access the system anytime and anywhere you have a connection. All data from your system (concerning everything from the properties you’re marketing and client/potential purchasers or tenant details to performance of your staff) is stored outside of your servers in the cloud and any updates to this data occur in real-time.
