Horizon is ahead in the Cloud | 4 July 2012

Last year four out of five new customers subscribed to access Horizon via Qube Global Software’s Cloud service rather than utilise the On Premise installation option.

An example of a customer that selected the Cloud service is Aurora Fashions, who trade under the well-known fashion brands of Coast, Warehouse, Karen Millen and Oasis.  Aurora Fashions subscribed to Horizon to manage their retail outlets across Europe and soon realised the benefits it offered of reduced information technology costs, business agility and increased service levels. 

All of our Cloud subscribers have realised similar benefits. As the real estate industry increasingly understands how the Cloud operates and how it delivers bottom line business value, its popularity as an operating model also increases. 

Qube Global Software has offered a subscription service to Horizon via the Internet since 2000, originally this was a dedicated hosted service and today as technology has evolved it is now a Cloud service.   Our longest serving subscriber is a major global airline that has been a Horizon subscriber for 12 years, utilising Horizon to manage their global portfolio of real estate assets.  

Horizon, of course, remains available as an on-premise solution. 

The availability of Horizon via the Cloud allows our customers to access their information from anywhere at any time.  All hardware services, installation, maintenance, business continuity and security issues are handled by Qube Global Software.  This brings costs savings to the customer as they no longer need to purchase and maintain IT equipment and train IT staff.  Moreover it enables customers to focus their resources on other business issues.
