This years’ regional symposium, ‘Innovation and Transformation’ caters to a smaller audience, whereby industry experts and peers can learn and network in a more intimate educational setting.
The conference included three (3) exciting tours in and around downtown Boston, all featuring pending transformations with the city limits: an inner harbor boat tour showcased the exciting Innovation District where construction and renovation abounds; in the heart of east Cambridge, growth and development for cutting edge bio-tech companies was explored; a ‘back of house’ tour of Fenway Park, and new retail development and renovated loft space in the neighborhood was discussed. This year’s Opening General Session was led by Bruce Johnstone, Senior Marketing Investment Strategist for Fidelity Investments. His subject matter on the bull market in fear and whether the US brand identity is at risk, had the crowd both disheartened by the state of the economy, but enlightened and uplifted by suggestions for change.
Tuesday’s sessions provided a variety of topics, ranging in scope from personal development to best business practices, taking charge of change and going global, emerging technologies and transformational cities.
