The addition of these properties on top of Google’s existing foundation may lead to an upgrade for Google’s corporate real estate software to manage their expanding portfolio.
Michael Gartenburg, an analyst with Gartner, believes the approval is a major milestone for the $12.5 billion acquisition. He told Mercury News, “It just goes to show how important mobile is to Google moving forward. This is a major strategic bet that they are making.” However, in order to make the acquisition fully complete, Google still needs government approvals in China, Taiwan and Israel.
