New Grade A office space made available in Manchester | 10 September 2014
Businesses in Manchester this week have access to an additional 65,000 square feet of Grade A office space after developers finished work on a major conversion project in the city’s Northern Quarter.
A further 15,000 square feet of retail space has also been opened up at Sevendale House, which is one of Manchester’s most recognisable warehouse structures.
The project, carried out at a cost of approximately £6 million, involved a complete refurbishment of the building’s upper five levels. According to manchestereveningnews.co.uk, these floors can each be sub-divided so it can cater for businesses of many different sizes.
As part of the work, developers reinstalled the structure’s original lightwell. The feature now forms something of a centrepiece for the new building.
Mark Davies, a director at owning firm Philip J Davies Holdings, was quoted by thebusinessdesk.com as saying: “Sevendale House is one of the Northern Quarter’s most striking buildings and this extensive refurbishment has brought it back to its former glory, creating inspiring workspaces within one of the city’s most popular locations.
“The reinstated lightwell, atrium and glass lifts are key features of the building, which, alongside offering Grade A space at a competitive rent, make this scheme stand out amongst its competitors.”
Now the work is complete, Sevendale House will be opened to prospective tenants on Thursday.
