Industry experts gather at Tyne and Wear Commercial Property Show | 16 May 2012
A vast range of industry experts offered some fundamental advice to commercial landlords at this year’s Tyne and Wear Commercial Property Show.
The annual show was well attended and gave property investors the opportunity to learn about new developments and network with experts in their field.
Amongst the guest speakers were Cheryl Blakey, from the Business and Enterprise Group, and Tim Evans from property experts Knight Frank.
Speaking before the show, Evans was keen to ensure that attendees were aware that the price of commercial property was not the only important factor when considering a purchase.
He told nebusiness.co.uk: “It is a competitive property market at the moment but it is important not to be driven by just cost as, on average, the annual cost to a business for its property is just five per cent.
“Some options may look more expensive but on analysis can be more cost-effective if they space plan better and their location saves on a range of costs. We will focus on how to optimise the right property solution for business.”
Necc.co.uk report that the show also showcased some of the investment opportunities currently available in the North East and is expected to boost activity levels in the region.
