Housing association leasehold managers identify key challenges in their sector | 8 November 2013

While attending the National Leaseholders Conference, we carried out a limited survey of the attendees – our research showed that 42% of leasehold managers regard enhancing their customers’ experience a significant challenge.

The figure was the highest of all challenges cited in the survey, with accurate service charge management (38%), effective budgeting for major works (38%), integrating data into a single integrated and complete system (33%) and streamlining procedures/improving task management (21%) other key concerns.

The survey formed part of our broader support of the event, aimed at housing associations and leaseholder managers wishing to increase our knowledge of the sector, which took place on 24th October at The British Library in London. A team from our Qube solution – which incorporates a specialist service charge management product – exhibited at the conference. They also both presented and sponsored the Leaseholder Service of the Year award category at the official ceremony (see above). Our congratulations go to Catalyst Housing, which scooped the prize.

In addition, we made contributions for each survey response we received – which resulted in a donation of £250 from Qube Global Software to the WWF.

John Thumwood, Sales Manager for our Qube solution comments:
“We were delighted to demonstrate our support for the sector by sponsoring this year’s NLC conference and were equally pleased that many delegates expressed continued support and desire to incorporate Qube into their current solution

“The results produced from the survey were interesting, particularly given the ability of Qube to help leasehold managers in all of the areas of concern highlighted. With the efficiencies and benefits of a true service charge ledger over the dependency on spreadsheets identified as a particularly hot topic, we will be running a webinar in December to specifically demonstrate our solution’s strength in this area.”
