I applied for a graduate position at Qube Global Software seeking a challenging environment that would allow me to utilise some of the skills I’d gained from my university studies and build on them further. I was offered positions at other companies but what specifically appealed to me about Qube Global Software was their clear emphasis on developing both technical and client interaction skills as well as the company’s rapidly growing position in the international market.

My initial role was with the Horizon Customer Services team as a support consultant. After the initial training period I was swiftly dealing with our clients directly, working on small projects and providing quotes for bespoke changes to the client’s software, which gave me an early insight into the commercial side of the company.

After 6 months, I was offered a new opportunity to work alongside the Development and Consultancy teams to produce video user guides which would be used to train clients who would be using the newest version of the software. This was a great opportunity for me to gain a broad knowledge of property management, how the software was used and it also demonstrated a great deal of trust from the company to allow me to work somewhat autonomously after a relatively short space of time.

Once I have finished working on this current project I will then be able to use the knowledge I have gained to advise clients how to use the software in the most efficient way for them.

The company has grown rapidly into international markets and this produces fresh challenges, even during this time of expansion Qube Global Software has maintained its supportive culture that was present since I joined the company. The evidence of this is that once people start working for Qube Global Software they very rarely apply to other companies.
